Tyson was born December 23, 1977, in Provo, Utah, and passed away on March 27, 2023, in Seattle, Washington. Most notably Tyson is known for his personal hope and perseverance toward betterment, both for himself and others. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Masters of Business Administration, and was currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Human-Centered Design and Engineering, with numerous other certificates associated with those fields.Īlthough he did not always follow the masses, Tyson was honest in his intent, and lived a life with integrity to his beliefs and values. He loved to put his learning to work and share it with those around him. He was almost always reading, engaged in some type of coursework, learning a new hobby, or simply seeking new and deeper experiences. Insatiably inquisitive, Tyson was a lifelong learner. He was a good artist and found great enjoyment and solace in playing the piano. Whether great or small, Tyson was often found giving of his time, effort, or resources in a way that made the world a better place. He served a two-year mission in the San Francisco area for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which brought him great joy. Tyson was known as a genuine, wholehearted, and good person. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear son, Tyson James Florence, who has returned home to his loving Heavenly Father.
